Debbie Sosinski lost her six-year battle with cancer in early September at the age of 57. Our tournament fishing family lost not only a great fisher, but more importantly, a friend. Debbie was a special person who touched the lives of the people she met. She always had a smile and kind word. She was a giant inspiration.
Deb’s passion to help others included an annual tournament to benefit several organizations associated with fighting cancer and helping those with special needs from the disease. This past August the Jack & Jill Cancer Benefit event raised $32,800.
An early facebook note said there will be a celebration of life for Debbie on Saturday, October 4th, 2:00pm at the 154 Marine in Perry, MO.
Debbie fought with dignity, kept a smile on her face and in her voice, and left many friends who loved, respected, and miss her.
Debbie enjoyed being on the water so the photo reflects her in action. The shot was taken one very cold spring day on Grenada Lake. The crappie didn’t make the 3-pound goal, but she caught one later in the trip that did beat the magic mark.
